What We Believe

The Bible
The Bible is inspired by God. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
God
We believe the Godhead is eternally co-equal and co-existent
in three persons; not three God's, but one.
Not one person, but three, The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost.
(Gen. 1:26, Mark 12:29; Deut. 6:4; Matt. 28:19)
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ was born of a Virgin by the Holy Spirit.
We uphold His deity as well as His humanity, two natures but one undivided person.
(Luke 1:30-35; John 1:1; Heb. 2:9-16).
The Resurrection
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ,
and that He ascended into heaven where He is now seated
at the right hand of God, the position of power and authority.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead.
(Rom. 8:34; 1 Cor. 15:3-4; Phil. 2:8-11; Rev. 21:11-15)
Spiritual Gifts
We believe that God has never removed the gifts referred to
in 1 Corinthians chapters 12, 13, and 14, and that whenever
the Holy Spirit moves upon the church in power, these gifts are manifested.
According to the Apostolic Command,
“be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues." (1 Cor. 14:39)
Priesthood of Believers
We believe each individual believer has full and equal access
to God through our Lord Jesus Christ, as a believer-priest.
(1 Peter 2:1-9; Rev. 1:6; 5:9-10)
Miracles
We believe in miracles, both as recorded in the Bible, and as
being possible in the present day. (John 14:12; 1 Corinthians 12:10).
Lordship
We confess the Lord Jesus Christ and no other,
as the Head of the Church, and as our Lord. (Eph. 1:22-23; Col. 1:18-24))
The Ministry
The ascended Christ has given various ministries to the Church
and each of these for the strengthening of, and is essential to,
the welfare of the Church as outlined in Ephesians 4:11 and 1 Corinthians 12:10.
Judgment
We believe that both the living and the dead will be judged.
(John 5:24; 28:29; Rev. 20:11-15).
